What Are The Chakras? -Descriptions and Remedies to Balance Them.

What are the Chakras?

The word chakra is a Sanskrit [1] word meaning wheel.  There are seven main chakras or wheels along the spine; located in the aura, or energy field connected to the human body.  Because the energy of our aura and chakras is subtle, it is undetectable with the human eye and can only be seen with an open third-eye or clairvoyant abilities.

Each chakra affects the organ, gland, or area of the body it is surrounded by; and each chakra aligns with a specific, colored light-ray.  Scientists define these colored light-rays as a form of energy from the sun, labeled as electromagnetic waves, -each one embodies its own unique color, wavelength and vibrational frequency matching, stimulating and balancing its corresponding chakra.  If you were to hold up a prism to the sun, it would reflect and make visible the seven distinctly colored light-rays that match and resonate with each chakra:  red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet (similar to the common, yet beautiful rainbows you see on a sunny, rainy day).

These ‘invisible’ chakras, or energetic, wheel-like spinning vortexes whirl in a circular motion forming a vacuum in the center of our body, drawing in anything it encounters to match our body’s vibratory frequency.  In essence our chakras receive the ‘energetic’ information from our experiences and environment, including the people we are in contact with (this is why other people’s moods have an affect on us!).

When our body becomes unbalanced (whether the issue is emotional, intellectual, physical or spiritual), the imbalance is shown and felt in the corresponding chakra, revealing specific information about the event or thought that caused the imbalance.  One way to bring health and serenity back to an ailing body is to re-align its chakras using ‘colored light-ray therapy’-a deliberate projection of color to the chakras.  The most natural and automatic colored light-ray therapy is achieved by spending time outside in the sunlight.  As mentioned earlier, sunlight holds and emanates the seven colored light-rays in the form of electromagnetic waves, which can be assimilated directly through our skin.  Colored light-ray therapy brings new meaning and support to the advice of getting our “daily dose of sunshine” for optimal health.  For example, scientists report that regular sunshine is important for the synthesis and activation of Vitamin D which supports healthy bone growth, etc.  However, sunshine/natural daylight also plays a vital role in creating a healthful body, mind and spirit by emanating colored light-rays to stimulate, feed and balance the chakras.

Other forms of colored light-ray therapy include:

*Visualization:  With this tool, one learns to meditate on the chakra in question, and sees with their mind the colored light-ray permeating the area.  This in-turn assists in releasing stuck emotions and old programming.  Your focused intention is ‘key’ in creating powerful results from this process.

*Food:  When the sun’s rays bless all plants, life is given to each one.  Depending on the type of plant, it will absorb the sun’s electromagnetic wave or colored light-ray that matches it’s ‘creation blue print’, i.e., the ‘creation blue print’ color for lettuce is green, for lemons it is yellow, for tangerines it is orange, etc. Using lettuce as the example, this and other green plants resonate with the heart chakra because the heart chakra vibrates to the green, colored light-ray.  Balance your chakras daily by eating organic foods that contain each of the seven color energies (that’s why the doctor’s common advice is to eat a plate of different colored foods... for the color value!).

*Colored Gemstones, Minerals, Crystals:   Energy healer specialists teach that natural stones, minerals and crystals emanate unique healing energies, and some can even be programmed to assist with a particular issue.  Wearing colored gemstone jewelry or placing gemstones, minerals and crystals in your environment is a simple way to absorb their unique healing vibrations and color energies.

*Color Bathing:  Since water is a conductor of energy, adding natural color to your bath water is a powerful way to absorb the vibrational frequency of the color.  While bathing, balance the corresponding chakra by thinking about what you would like to achieve from that specific, color energy. -Remember to use the power of your intention.  Do not use chemical food coloring to dye your water.  I recommend Colour Bath™ by Colour Energy Corporation, as it is organic and natural. http://www.chakracompany.com/catalog/default.php

*ClothingWhat we wear will influence our mood, mind and energy level.  The more vibrant the clothing the better the energy transfer of the color’s vibrational frequency.

*Art & ColorArt and color can be used as an outlet to either express or stimulate.  Science has proven that certain colored light-rays can calm the mind while others stimulate mental activity, i.e. the color red is innately recognized as warm, stimulating and passionate; whereas, the color green is recognized as healing, protecting and nurturing.  Surround yourself with the colors, which are suitable for what you need to accomplish in that area.  Paint a room or add different colored pillows, artwork, carpets, etc.
