A vegan-organic, cruelty-free lifestyle stands against the unethical treatment of animals, and the environment. Food is grown organically with green manure instead of animal-based fertilizers, and products purchased are Earth friendly, animal-free and without animal testing.
“Any system of cultivation that excludes artificial chemicals, livestock manures, animal remains from slaughterhouses, genetically modified material and indeed anything of animal origin such as fishmeal.”
Many who experience a vegan-organic, cruelty-free lifestyle find it to be a nurturing, kind and loving way to treat the human spirit, environment and fellow creatures. Some examples of the foods eaten include: grains, vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, sea vegetables, nutritional yeast, and soy products. People who live a vegan-organic, cruelty-free lifestyle do not consume or use any animal/fish/insect products, or those which are derived from them including cheese, milk, ice cream, butter, eggs, fish, white table sugar, silk, honey, fur, leather, red food dye from the Cochineal Beetle, etc. The toiletries and house hold products used are purchased with Mother Earth in mind. They are made with natural ingredients and are often biodegradable to help reduce landfill pollution.
Vegan-Organic or Stock-Free agriculture is a fairly new concept. For a list of vegan-organic farms in the UK see Vegan Organic Network, and Veganic Agriculture Network which lists certified growers in North America. We are proud of these compassionate pioneers and look to them as role models for their standards of excellence in healthful food production. The idea is catching on and one day all food producers will grasp and use chemical-free procedures, replacing common animal-based fertilizers with green-fertilizers as the only proper way to grow food. People wishing to take part in the rewarding and fulfilling endeavor of growing their own vegan-organic crops may consult the Information Sheets for guidance. If you are not able to purchase or grow your own vegan-organic food, the next best thing is vegan food grown with organic animal fertilizers. Although there is still animal suffering involved in food grown with organic, animal fertilizers, Mother Earth at least suffers less as no chemicals or pesticides are used in growing these crops.
Humans do not need to consume any part of an animal in order to feel and live healthy.
